Killing a bacterial killer

Tiny E. Coli bacteria are causing problems. Shiga toxin is the substance that E. Coli bacteria produces. When the substance enters the body, it can damage the blood vessels, allowing you to lose large amounts of blood. Singa toxin is a type of poison that can kill very quickly. These days at Carnegie Mellon University, they are trying to figure out a vaccine or something that could solve the problem. Luckily, they have found a mineral called  manganese that would lessen the bite of the Shiga toxin. This was very exciting for the people there and all over the world because in the past, in magazines, newspaper, on TV, there were large amounts of people that got sickened by E. Coli. Because they still can't fully trust the mineral, they are still doing different experiments on it.

P.S. Manganese - chemical element, atomic number 25
